Our approach of shipping recumbents in a kit form, is based in that it’s hard to find a local recumbent dealer and recumbents are expensive. Many of our customers are new to recumbent trikes, for instance. So, we have kept the prices very competitive since buying them without trying them out, is a lot to ask.  

Assembly is required for these products. Although we have instructional videos and such, we strongly encourage you to have a local bike shop assemble these bike and trike products for you. Of course there will be a fee from the bike shop to assemble and tune it, but that’s why we try to keep the initial pricing so low. Unless you know how to cut chain, tune derailleurs, perform toe-in adjustment, you should consider having a professional do it. Unless you are a bike mechanic or experienced working on your own bikes, getting help is the best way to go.

Please note that we list the usual components and parts intendent to be on the bike or trike, but during these times we can’t guarantee the exact availability of components. So, if that is the case, we will replace the item with an equal or higher level component.


Our goal is to have your items ship out within a week of purchase.

If it is being drop shipped from out of the country because of a special order, there is a possibility of a longer wait. We determine the most efficient shipping carrier for your order. The carriers that may be used are: U.S. Postal Service (USPS), United Parcel Service (UPS), DHL, or FedEx. Sorry but we cannot ship to P.O. Boxes. Credit card authorization and verification must be received prior to processing the order.


We offer 15 days to return items on almost every product we offer. Because of this, it is important to build this item as soon as possible. 

The returned item (bike, trike, etc) needs to be packaged the exact same way in the original box it was received. Please call customer service at 814-406-9102 to discuss the return. At this time you will discuss obtaining an RMA number (Return Merchandise Authorization) and receiving a shipping label. After receiving the returned product it will be inspected for wear, damage, missing parts etc. The shipping cost of $100, a re-stocking charge of 15%, damage costs, and cost of missing parts will be subtracted from the amount paid. If the box has not been opened, returning it is only a $100 shipping cost which pays for the shipping and label from us.

Warranty Stuff

To the extent permitted by law, this warranty is in lieu of all other express or implied warranties.  Performer disclaims all statutory and implied warranties, including without limitation, warranties f merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, and warranties against hidden or latent defects, to the extent permitted by law. Any such warranty which cannot be disclaimed is limited to the duration and remedies of this express warranty in so far as such a limitation is allowed by law.
This warranty is extended only to the initial  purchaser for as long as the initial purchaser owns the trike and is not transferable. This warranty only covers personal use and does not extend to business or commercial use. 
This warranty shall take effect on the date of  original purchase.
Performer is solely responsible fulfilling the terms of this warranty. The individual or company selling or distributing this trike shall not be responsible for fulfilling the terms of this warranty; any work done by the seller or distributor to replace or repair any part of this trike shall not imply a duty by the seller or distributor to fulfill the terms of this warranty. Repairs performed by anyone other than Performer, or any person authorized by Performer, and replacement parts not supplied by Performer, are not covered under this warranty. Performer may, at our sole discretion, authorize the initial purchaser or agent of the initial purchaser to perform repairs under this warranty.
Under this warranty, Performer will repair, replace or refund, at our sole discretion, a defective frame, fork or other part with the same or comparable model. Frame, fork or parts covered must be returned to us, to an authorized dealer or any other person, at our discretion, for inspection at the customer’s expense and must include a copy of the original receipt. The owner is responsible for all labor, shipping and travel costs connected with the
repair or replacement of warrantied parts.
Metal frames are covered for a period of five years. Carbon frames are covered for a period of three years. Forks and non-consumable parts are covered for a period of one year.
Consumable parts, including but not necessarily limited to, tires, tubes, brake and shifter cables, brake shoes, grips, seat covering, crankset, gears and chain are not covered under this warranty. In addition to the limitations above, normal wear and tear, damage due to improper assembly and/or maintenance, modifications, or installation of parts or accessories not included with this trike as sold, including power assist, is expressly excluded from this warranty and is not covered. Further, any damage caused by any accident, act of God, abuse, misuse, neglect or theft is not covered. This warranty does not cover paint damage, rust or cosmetic damage including dents or scratches.
In no event shall Performer be liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, or consequential losses, injuries, damages or expenses to property or life, whatsoever arising out of or connected with the use or misuse of our products.
The initial purchaser is responsible for inspecting this trike for proper assembly, installation and adjustments at time of purchase, and for  subsequent normal maintenance and adjustments. The initial purchaser or that person’s agent must notify Performer at the email address below of any claims under this warranty. Such notification must be given within the warranty periods stated above.
