Challenge Ventus (2008)

Price: $2,950.00

Originally introduced in 1995, the Wizard 20/26 SWB recumbent was a comfortable and easy to ride workhorse. It was eventually discontinued, but customer demand for a 20/26 bike was so great that Challenge went back to the drawing board and developed what is the latest addition to their line-up, the Ventus. This new model builds on the legacy of the Wizard by incorporating the latest technological developments from their more recent SL and Endurance Series bikes. Challenge were able to:

  • improve handling by increasing the wheelbase and refining the steering geometry;
  • increase comfort by offering a choice between our aluminum, fiberglass, and carbon seats;
  • improve control by installing the high-end Meks front fork as standard equipment; and
  • update the frame to 2008 specifications by incorporating frame details from their SL and Endurance Series.
