Optima Baron Elite
Optima Baron Elite
With its higher bracket and its carbon rear end this bike addresses the sporty "elite". It remains however an overall confortable and easily ajustable bike, making it an allround racer for up the mountain.
The seat position on the Elite is one of the most aerodynamic of the circuit, with a pronounced angle between bracket and seat height (approaches the X Low angle) and thus makes it particularly effective uphill riding stiff ascents or on the flats while accelerating from upright packs. The main frame of alloy remains the most reliable option for a light recumbent made for speed, a material that does not break without warning, making this bike your long term speed sparring partner.
You can choose a configuration of direct drive (chain in a straight line) to reach the maximum of performance or use the detour of the front wheel for a 100 % zero chain interference and thus be manoeuvrable in tight turns or on uphill slow sections.
Standard and handy are Optima's telescopic handlebars and the adjustable seat angle.
The height of the bracket does not only favor amateurs of top speed : the smaller sized cyclist will also feel secure with the clearance between the front wheel and the crank.
Go for speed, beauty and comfort. Join the Elite.
