The daily rally schedule is here.
Well Marked Ride Routes - Catered Meal - Incredible Music - Wonderful People Each year, RBR hosts a recumbent bike and trike rally the second weekend of June in the heart of Pennsylvania. Our rally features:
The festivities begin on a Friday night as we get together for introductions (which includes what we're each riding), good food and drink, and to kick off the rally with a review of the routes and what to expect. The next day, we meet at Mount Nittany Middle School in nearby Boalsburg to start the rides. The century ride kicks off directly from the museum lot while folks interested in a flat 10 or 20 mile ride caravan to Spring Mills. After the rides are completed, everyone meets back up for test rides, mechanic work, and to admire each other's recumbents. Then it's off to the farm of Stan and Darlene Smith to enjoy a catered meal, fantastic live music, and (if the tradition holds) ice cream sandwiches from the local Meyer Dairy. For those who can stay in town one more day, two Sunday rides are available in both 17 and 33 mile lengths. From there, everyone goes their separate ways until we meet again at the next rally. We look forward to meeting you at the 2014 rally! Registration is open now (see above). The registration fee this year is $79 for early registration, $99 for late (less than two weeks before the rally begins). Still not convinced? Here are what others have said about the RBR rally. "Wow! What an incredible experience. Super people, great rides, amazing food and superb live music. A priceless weekend in beautiful (and lush) State College, Pa." "This is a fun get together, several nice rides in the rolling hills of Central Pennsylvania. Good food and fine company." "Many thanks to Rob, Alycia, and the all the RBR folks who assisted in putting together yet another fine recumbent rally (aka "party") this year in State College, Pa. This has become one of my favorite rides. The scenery is spectacular, the weather was perfect, the food was terrific, and the camaraderie was a delight. A special thanks to Rob for helping me out with a broken idler problem.
