Easy Racers Recumbents

Easy Racers logo

Since 1979, Easy Racers has been building some of the world's fastest and most comfortable bikes; in fact, they built the Gold Rush, the bicycle which won the Dupont Prize for exceeding 65 mph. (That bike hangs in the Smithsonian, but replicas are available for sale!)

In addition, they designed several bikes and trikes in the Sun line; see the Sun page for more details.

Finally, be aware that many options are available for all Easy Racers bikes: custom colors, disk brake tabs, performance wheels, and fairings (a fairing REALLY makes these bikes fly!) can be arranged.

The Javelin is the first addition to the Easy Racers domestic production lineup in more than 10 years. Based on the legendary Tour Easy geometry, this bike is an excellent all-around sport recumbent that everyone can appreciate, from a novice to a seasoned ultra-marathon cyclist.

Featuring a custom designed, variable cross-section, 4130 cro-mo main tube and a triangulated rear end, the Javelin combines the rigidity of an upright with the aerodynamics and comfort of a recumbent.

Tour Easy SS

This classic, solidly built, Long Wheelbase recumbent has been the choice of numerous recumbent riders for many years. Seven frame sizes accommodate riders from 5´2" to 6´4". The Tour Easy is available in the Speed and Sport or Expedition models. The Speed and Sport version has narrower tires and a 20" (451mm) front wheel. The Expedition comes with fatter tires and a 20" (406mm) front wheel, but narrow, high-pressure tires are also an option. The handlebars and fork are cleverly designed to serve as fairing supports making Tour Easy fairings easy to install and less expensive than other fairings.
MSRP: $2495

Gold Rush SS

Based on the famous bike designed by Gardner Martin for Fast Freddy Markham, the Goldrush won the $18,000 Dupont prize for the first bicycle to break 65 MPH. Three pounds lighter than the Tour Easy, the Gold Rush Replica offers more performance and better components for the more serious rider looking for uncompromised speed in a classic long wheelbase (LWB) recumbent. The Speed & Sport (SS) version is true roadie setup. It uses a tighter 11-30T cassette, 451mm front wheel and dual-pivot brakes.

Fold Rush SS

Sharing the Gold Rush Replica's geometry and dimensions, the Fold Rush adds two great new features: suspension and portability. While performance purists may still opt for the Gold Rush or Ti-Rush, many riders will prefer the softer ride and ease of transport that a Foldable Gold Rush provides. The Fold Rush weighs approx. 2 lbs more than a standard Gold Rush and features an elastomer rear shock absorber.

Ti-Rush SS

Biking is so important in some people's lives that they simply must have the ultimate bike. Nothing else will do. For these folks, Gardner built the Ti Rush. The titanium frame on the Ti Rush is 1/4 pound lighter than the aluminum frame Gold Rush Replica and does not have the fatigue or corrosion problems that aluminum does
