Whether you're cycling your favorite slope in the hillside, exercising your body on a fast course, or commuting to work - lean back, relax, and enjoy your bike with a view.

The Street Machine is a new kind of bike; designed and built to offer higher standards of comfort and sophistication. And it has a whole host of features that set it apart from other bikes of its type. A Street Machine does exactly what you want it to do with the minimum of input. It practically rides itself, leaving you free to concentrate on the road ahead, or just to relax and enjoy the scenery. If you have ridden other recumbents you might just be surprised how good they can be. If you have never ridden one, prepare to be amazed. (The picture depicts the bike with options.) Scorpion fx

At the 2006 EUROBIKE, IFMA and INTERBIKE shows HP Velotechnik unveil their first foldable recumbent tricycle especially designed for long distance cyclists. Within 60 seconds and without tools, the new Scorpion fx folds down to 102x83x69 cm. Take 90 more seconds and an allen key for the removal of both front wheels and mudguards, and the Scorpion fx gets so compact that you can put it in the trunk (boot) of a Smart micro car. The suspended rear rack and the lowrider rack allow for 50 kg luggage. The rear rack is a rigid construction made from ½" alloy tubing, designed to withstand the high lateral forces when cornering on a trike. It has an extra 10 mm support tube to hang panniers lower.

HP's adjustable BodyLink seat and plush suspension assure relaxing comfort. The frame's cross member is bent up and forward to meet the sturdy wheels up front, giving a long wheelbase for safe braking, easy access to the seat and avoiding heel interference for smaller riders.

With a seat height of 35 cm, the Scorpion fx' seat position is 9 cm higher and more upright than the more sporty standard Scorpion. The wide track of 79 cm and the wheelbase of 102 cm guarantee a stable road holding and safe braking. With a total width of 83 cm, the Scorpion fx fits through a standard doorway. It has a tight turning circle of 3,9 m. The comfortable suspension offers 9 cm travel. It is designed to uses standard steel spring or air-chamber rear shocks with adjustable hydraulic damping. HP Velotechnik's reliable No-Squat Design assures fast acceleration without unwanted suspension pogo. The stiff aluminum frame allows for a low weight of 17,1 kg. Frame and BodyLink-Seat are adjustable in length for riders from 1,57-2m body length.

Grasshopper fx

The perfect pleasure ride for spontaneous tours in distant regions. Easy folding in 60 seconds to fit in trunks and train compartments leaves no more handy excuses. The folding dimensions for above seat steering models (96x60x70cm / 38x24x28 ) and under seat steering models ( 96x50x70cm / 38x20x28 ) speak volumes. A very compact package, though we increased the wheel base by 5 cm / 2 to give you an even more relaxed and joyful ride with or without luggage.
