A few folks from the BentRider forums wanted me to follow up on some items - photos of the RANS Enduro Sport, a question about the Proton pedals - so that's what we did today. We met up with Johnny Lewis of Cycle Genius to chat a bit.
We stopped in at the Sigma booth to learn about their bike computer lineup for next year. Their wireless models will have a reach of 110cm for the cadence monitor and 90cm for the speed monitor, so they're hoping the new range will be more recumbent friendly.
And on our way out, we stopped by Yakima to look at their Rack 'n Roll trailer. We always found items that weren't specifically recumbent but could help in the bent realm, and a trailer than can fit 7 upright bikes and then fold away for storage in a garage intrigued us. We figured it would do 4 recumbents easily. Or 2 bents and a boat. Whatever. I threw photos of it in the pile for anyone looking for yet another recumbent hauling solution.
That was the sum of our day. Now we just need to finish up a few things, pack up, and fly out of Vegas early tomorrow morning. The shop will re-open on Tuesday, September 29th.
Shall we get on to the photos then? Yes we shall. But first, RBR would officially like to present Hase Spezialrader with the award for Most Original Catalog Cover. We've stared at it for an hour and still can't divine the symbolism of gnoshing on a bench beneath Jesus in the presence of a cow and a Hase Tagun. It's as though the cover were shot by Ingmar Bergman.
